Lecture Overview

Anatomically driven Endodontics

Endodontic instrumentation has evolved significantly over the past two decades with innovations in motions, alloys, and techniques, all aimed at enhancing therapy quality. Recently, files capable of addressing three-dimensional anatomy have been developed. This presentation will focus on the goals of root canal instrumentation, examining its evolution, current challenges, and future prospects.

Bioceramics in Endodontics

Bioceramics, introduced to Endodontics in the 1990s with MTA, have demonstrated superior biocompatibility and sealing properties through two decades of research. Despite being challenging to handle and potentially causing tooth discoloration, they’ve become a preferred choice for many endodontic procedures. Recent advancements have led to the development of bioceramic materials with fewer drawbacks. This presentation explores their applications in vital pulp therapies, root canal obturation, perforation repairs, and endodontic microsurgery.
